In the San Francisco Bay Area, the start of summer has brought rising temperatures, longer days — and an influx of funding.

According to a Built In San Francisco report, several local companies raised massive amounts of capital earlier this month. While data-powered application developer DataStax secured $115 million in funding, applicant tracking company Fountain obtained a cool $100 million.

While these capital-heavy companies may be shaping the local tech landscape, they’re far from the only organizations doing so. At The RealReal, the team is increasing its headcount in order to strengthen support for its online luxury marketplace. In addition to having sought-after benefits such as generous parental leave, the e-commerce company has open roles spanning several departments, including engineering, finance and project management.

Yet luxury retail isn’t the Bay Area’s only scaling sector. Edtech company Riiid Labs is also growing in an effort to amplify its AI-powered educational tools. The company is searching for talent to fill several departments, including finance, marketing and operations. Those who join the organization have access to top-notch perks, including an unlimited vacation policy.

For these two tech powerhouses, expanding teams are met with empowering cultures. Learn what makes each of them local standouts, and check out their open roles.
