The major accounts Sales Executive is responsible for all assigned sales activities. Assignments may be account based, geography based, or a combination of the two. The Sales Executive will handle total sales functions from prospecting and follow-up to completed sale. Also responsible for establishing sales forecast and maintaining budgets and expenses related to sales activity. The Sales Executive is responsible for net new business and assigned existing business.

  • Manages the activity and health of their territory’s sales funnel to ensure successful attainment of their annual Sales Objective.
  • Participates, leads, and coordinates contract processes and negotiations between clients and internal Deluxe departments to include component contract input and T&C’s contributions for applicable opportunities.
  • Generates leads and follows-up on all leads generated by various sources and submitted to Deluxe, analyzing and qualifying potential prospects.

  • Provides territory and opportunity updates via Microsoft CRM per management direction to demonstrate progress towards closing specific opportunities and achievement of annual Sales Objective.

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelors in Business, Marketing or Sales and 3 years experience or HS/GED and 7 years experience in new account development sales

within the payments industry.  Knowledge of industry trends.   Proficient in Microsoft CRM, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience - 10 + Sales experience within the Payments Industry or selling complex Outsourcing and Software solutions to senior level executives

Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication sills.   Strong analytical/mathematical skills.

  • Takes a consultative approach and puts customer’s needs first
  • Is able to find leads and build a strong pipeline

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
