The Marketplace team at Lyft is responsible for accelerating the growth of the business and for delivering our top business/company goals related to marketplace and business performance.

Within the Marketplace organization, the Market Insights team maintains the health and growth of all of our top regions and airports by working cross-functionally with lever and product teams to develop region-specific investment and growth strategies.  We’re seeking an experienced Data Analytics Manager to lead a team of analysts while uncovering market trends, competitive intelligence and business opportunities that inform company strategy.

The ideal candidate has a track record of leading high-performing teams and partnering closely with senior leadership.  Experience working alongside product, building automated tooling, and managing growth investments is a plus.  

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of data analysts to support marketplace operations and provide world-class analysis, forecasting and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Become an expert in marketplace trends and support weekly reporting structures for the Rideshare organization.
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, training and performance management.
  • Develop domain-specific subject matter expertise in our lever portfolio and support cross-functional initiatives to improve existing products and develop new ones.
  • Establish clear goals, priorities and performance metrics for the team,
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations for the Executive Team.
Experience:
  • 7+ years experience data science/analytics roles in a technology company, or an equivalent analytical role in a high growth startup, including 3+ years managing teams of Data Analysts or Data Scientists
  • Experience in communicating with and presenting to senior leaders and data storytelling
  • Experience managing experiments, prioritizing against different projects, and leading teams in experiment design, business metrics, and implementation
  • Ability to identify customer behavior patterns
  • Passionate about automating routine reporting and analytics processes
  • Proficient in SQL and quantitative analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Mode Analytics, Power BI or similar)
  • Track record of translating data insists into business value
  • Ability to manage, influence, negotiate, and inspire others in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong product and user experience sense
  • Understanding of experimental design (such as A/B experiments) and statistical methods
  • Poise when dealing with ambiguity and change management
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation and targeting strategies

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $165,000 - $206,250. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
