This highly cross-functional role requires close collaboration with Medical Affairs, Research, Clinical Development, Marketing, and Commercial leadership to translate evolving scientific insights into engaging educational content, training initiatives, and resources. Key Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Education Leadership

  • Ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant messaging across all education channels.

Training & Program Development

  • Design, implement, and manage onboarding and ongoing education programs for field teams (MSLs, liaisons, commercial).

  • Lead journal clubs, webinars, and workshops to keep field teams up to date with emerging data, industry trends, and Tempus’ scientific platforms.

  • Partner with Learning & Development to deliver innovative training methods and maintain a robust library of educational assets.

Scientific Content & Communication

  • Collaborate with Medical and Commercial leadership to develop high-quality scientific engagement materials.

  • Partner with Marketing to align educational initiatives with broader communication strategies.

  • Manage scientific accuracy and compliance review processes in partnership with Regulatory/MLR teams.

Collaboration & Impact

  • Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to support customer-facing education and ensure alignment of medical and market strategies.

  • Collaborate with Clinical Development and Research teams to translate study results, new discoveries, and platform updates into practical educational content.

  • Act as a key liaison to ensure seamless integration of educational efforts across internal functions and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or DNP) in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., oncology, molecular biology, genetics).

  • 5+ years experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Education, or Scientific Communications within life sciences or diagnostics.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Medical, Commercial, and Marketing functions.

  • Strong knowledge of oncology, genetics, genomics, and the healthcare landscape.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.

  • Proven ability to translate complex science into clear, engaging education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building medical education programs in precision medicine or diagnostics.

  • Familiarity with commercial field team engagement and needs in a biotech or diagnostics environment.

  • Knowledge of regulatory/compliance frameworks for scientific exchange and promotional activities.

  • Experience leveraging digital platforms, data analytics, or AI in education and training.
