About Onebrief

Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.

We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.

Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $123m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $1.1B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.

About the Role

As Onebrief’s Business Operations Data Analyst, you will define and lead the build-out of our company-wide Data Analytics practice. You’ll establish the foundation for how we govern, analyze, and act on data — enabling every team to make better, faster, more informed decisions.

Your ultimate leverage point: using data to help Onebrief understand and measure customer impact. You’ll develop clear, consistent value metrics that demonstrate how we deliver outcomes for our users, ensuring our products and operations maximize mission impact.

This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role that blends technical depth with strategic influence. Over time, you’ll potentially grow and mentor a small team to scale the analytics vision you establish.

About You

You have strong experience in data analytics or business intelligence, and are as comfortable writing SQL queries as you are communicating insights across both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You're excited by the challenge of building an analytics foundation to drive measurable customer impact for Onebrief. You have a strong grasp of data governance, modeling, and visualization best practices, and are a persuasive and clear communicator.

You're innately curious, have a strong sense of initiative, and a bias towards action. You want to bring insights to the table - not just numbers.

What You’ll Do

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and lead Onebrief’s analytics foundation — from governance and tooling to reporting.

  • Develop customer value metrics and impact frameworks that define how we measure success.

  • Design scalable data pipelines and dashboards that unify insights across teams.

  • Partner with Customer Relations, Product, Sales, and Engineering to turn data into strategic decisions for the company.

  • Deliver role-based reporting and executive insights that drive alignment and accountability

What We're Looking For:
  • A strong background in applied analytics, operations research, or similar.

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Power BI

  • An active Top Secret clearance.

  • Previous experience in high-growth SaaS, enterprise, or defense technology environments.

  • Familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., AWS, Grafana, Fivetran, or similar).
