We are seeking multiple Chiefs of Staff to support our leadership team. The role is critical to driving operational excellence, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to join our team. Prior experience in GTM Teams or Product Management is a plus.


Chief of Staff: Revenue Partner with our CRO in building and running a world-class Revenue Organization (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing [Brand, PMM, Demand Gen, Comms] and RevOps). The CoS will play an integral role in the planning & execution of the Revenue strategies spanning Operations (Marketing, Sales, Comms, RevOps), Strategy, People Program Related activities, and more. 

Chief of Staff: Sales Partner with our Head of Sales in building and running a world-class Sales Organization. The CoS will play an integral role in the planning & execution of the sales strategies spanning Operations, Strategic Planning, People Program Related activities, and more.

Chief of Staff: Product Design Partner with our Head of Product Design supporting in building and running a world class design team, with an emphasis on Program Management for critical product areas under the Head of Design’s purview. 

  • Provide high-level support to a leader with day-to-day operations, project management, and strategic planning.
  • Own and manage a focused set of high-priority initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product, Design, and GTM Teams.
  • Craft clear and compelling communication materials for the teams you support, including presentations, meeting agendas, and status updates.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Engineering, Design, Marketing) to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment on product goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the team's processes and workflows, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness.

  • 5+ years of experience in bizops, consulting, and/or program management, preferably in a high-growth technology startup environment OR 5+ years of experience in product management, program management, or a related field within a high-growth tech company.
  • Strong understanding of the GTM OR product development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • A passion for operations and a desire to make a significant impact on the success of Gusto's teams.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $134,000 - $204,000/year in Denver, between $148,000 - $220,000/year for New York/San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
