Overview

We are seeking a diligent and dedicated CPG Content Excellence Associate to join our Commercial Excellence team. Your main responsibility in this role will be to utilize subject matter expertise to manage and maintain our CPG product content to ensure its accuracy, quality, and completeness. This role requires excellent attention to detail and strong data analysis skills as it involves managing large amounts of detailed information about various products. As part of the Commercial Excellence team, you will contribute to the success of our Brand Partners through enhancement of our Ads Reporting taxonomy. In addition, this role supports our Instacart partners and customers by improving Catalog data and the product content that power our Marketplace. About the Job

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to oversee and enhance our product catalog, ensuring brand, category, and attribute information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Insights, Data Operations, & Catalog teams to gather and maintain comprehensive product information.
  • Analyze Catalog content to improve processes, identify errors, and ensure consistency.
  • Implement Catalog changes in line with product launches or updates.
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve issues related to content functions or operations
  • Work with multiple teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across all platforms.
  • Regularly perform quality assurance checks and correct any discrepancies; utilizing CPG expertise to create content excellence and best practices
  • Conduct comprehensive research of CPG products utilizing in-house resources, partner-facing teams, and online research
  • Manage data across multiple source types and working areas, such as Excel, Google Sheets, csv/text files; including ETL processes, data extraction, summary analysis, and file management

About You

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in catalog management or a similar role
  • Ideally, two plus years experience with eCommerce platforms, the grocery sector, or CPG products. Proficiency in understanding CPG industry trends, key grocery brands, and CPG reporting
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and independent worker
  • Ability to manipulate and work with large data sets in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with CPG point-of-sale reporting, such as data from Nielsen, SPINS, Circana, or Numerator is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in data management systems and analysis tools (SQL, Tableau)
