Associate Creative Director, Copy
About the role:
As a Associate Creative Director, Copy on the Creative team, you will act as both an individual contributor and a manager for the other copywriters on your team. You’ll ensure that the output of the team is on brand, follows voice and tone guidelines, and exceeds expectations, all while following digital best practices and achieving creative excellence. You will work with your team of copywriters to make sure that the quality and quantity of output is meeting set goals and objectives. Additionally, you will develop impactful, captivating copy across email, digital and print media that connects with students and instructors and inspires them to take action.

Here's what you'll be doing:
- Manage the copywriting team
- Monitor quality and output of team to ensure goals and objects are being met
- Develop overall best practices and copy guidelines based on qualitative research and copy testing results
- Provide the overall creative copy strategy for messaging frameworks specific to our key user segments and new and existing channels
- Manage your team of copywriters to help them overcome roadblocks, set personal OKRs and goals, and make the next steps in their career
- Developing a deep understanding of the needs, motivations and aspirations of our students and instructors and communicate that to the copywriting team
- Collaborate with various Marketing teams to take customer needs, challenges, and pain points - and turn that into persuasive copy and content for various marketing channels
- Produce error-free copy that adheres to the company’s style guidelines while also acting as an editor for your fellow copywriters
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
- Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders
- Collaborate with design partner to come up with cohesive compelling ideas that speak to brief and customer needs

We’re excited because you have:
- 8-10 years of experience of experience in digital marketing, including experience managing campaign and brand work
- Managed a team of copywriters, inspiring and mentoring along the way
- A strategic perspective on all copy
- Have worked on global brands
- Experience realising brand strategy into compelling creative and messaging constructs
- Can tell a compelling brand story
- Work well with ambiguity and forge strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Bring vitality and fun into the workplace
