Associate Creative Director Copywriter

We are a quickly growing VC-funded startup based in San Francisco, with additional offices in Los Angeles. What we are looking for:
- Creative Director/Copywriter with experience leading teams across advertising and editorial/content strategy workstreams
- Empathetic and effective people manager who can mentor, support and grow our team of in-house copywriters
- A proven creative leader who has a track record of creating compelling, award-winning work
- Our ideal candidate will have held the position of Creative Director or Lead Writer in-house or in-agency
Responsibilities of the role:
- Help define and champion the voice and tone for all marketing copy across advertising and editorial touchpoints
- Manage and mentor a team of Sr. Copywriters, Copywriters, and content strategists
- Work with our in-house team and external creative partners to solve complex problems
- Ability and willingness to act as an individual contributor when needed
- Identify and recruit outstanding talent
- Present clear ideas and concepts to internal stakeholders and external creative partners
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience producing award-winning work for international or national brands
- Someone who leads by example; inspires the team to do their best work and helps others solve problems
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Experience working in a creative team environment, being paired with art directors to tackle campaign concept development
- Ability to write in a multiplicity of brand voices and tones across many categories
