Associate Video Editor and Animator
About The Role:
We are looking for a junior video editor/animator who believes that Udemy should be a vital part of the future of learning. This is an opportunity to join the team at a key growth stage. The role requires a passion for translating marketing and brand strategies into strong and impactful content that clearly communicates our core values. Your contribution will have a significant impact on furthering our brand’s development while inspiring both our student and instructor communities. This position requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise and project management skills in a fast paced, iterative culture. This person will be responsible for working across all stages of the production process including live-action and graphic editing and will work alongside the rest of the video team and project stakeholders to oversee each project through to its completion.

You have the technical acumen for capturing, and editing video for marketing initiatives that engage and explain and amazing motion graphics skills that elevate our storytelling. You’re excited to collaborate with our multi-talented brand and marketing creative team to produce social and paid media, ads and video stories that power growth, expand the brand, educate and communicate our mission.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Helping craft compelling visual stories of and for or users
- Editing/animating video content including campaigns, product demos, brand videos, social assets and narrative/documentary stories
- Creating in the adobe creative suite as well as other filmmaking tools and software
- Responsible for delivery and asset updating for our YouTube Channel
- Keeping our video systems, softwares, and tools up to date
- Asset management, frame.io management, and delivery of final videos
- Maintaining naming conventions and file structuring across 70TB and growing
- Sourcing stock footage and creating a database of images
We're excited about you because you have:
- Strong examples of storytelling, animation, graphics and brand marketing
- 3 years of experience creating video that supports the brand narrative and product
- Proficiency with industry leading software
- Creative skills and ability to concept visual imagery to help tell a compelling story.
- Solid communication and collaborative skills and the ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and a self-starter
- Impeccable organization abilities and experience creating Post systems
- A can-do attitude without ego and willingness to do what it takes
- Good camera/ cinematography skills for shooting video when necessary
