The Role
Lark is seeking a talented Clinical Studies Research Writer to join our Data Analytics team.  We work closely with our internal teams; Client Services, Product, and Sales. This role will leverage your scientific literature reviews and your writing skills to assist these departments! Through the creation of public-facing articles and peer-reviewed studies, you will provide critical insights on Lark’s performance. You will publish papers on clinical outcomes and population health.

What You’ll Do

• Drive innovative research initiatives within Business Operations
• Leverage the existing clinical operational infrastructure to develop well-informed insights 
• Assist in developing clinical initiatives
• Write manuscripts that can be published in peer-reviewed journals
• Research scientific literature and crease summaries in written and presentation form

What You’ll Need

• Ability to coordinate and leading cross-functional teams on research initiatives
• Drive team to implement innovative methods to investigate, analyze, research, and write findings for novel health topics
• Team-oriented approach to problem-solving - this role will work with Data Scientists and collaborate with our engineering team to evaluate complex data sets
• Knowledge and experience in analyzing data to test hypothesis and measure outcomes
• Capacity to derive insights from ambiguous data

Education and Experience

• PhD in population health, disease management, or related healthcare field
• 3-5 years experience as a research writer; with a preference for specific research in "Public Health Policy Analysis, Epidemiology, Public Health, or Health Science"
• Copies of all previously published papers with candidate as lead author must be submitted with resume as part of the application process
• Has previously been a leading author on published peer reviewed studies
• Experience designing and guiding research studies with academic institutions

Working at Lark
Lark offers the option to work remotely when both the employee and the job are suited to such an arrangement and when the employee and their manager are in alignment with the work location and working hours. This option is only applicable to U.S. employees. To accommodate all employees, we have identified the “core” period of the day during which all employees are required to work for scheduled meetings, syncs, scrums between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Pacific time.
