HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

Pet care is a wild world. So, Kinship has just launched a new site, TheWildest.com, that offers a fresh and unfiltered take on the pet parenting experience, geared towards modern pet parents. The Wildest is the destination for pet care content, where expertise is balanced with personality. We are looking for a full-time Dog Commerce Editor who will work with the Editorial and Social teams to curate commerce content (and whose dog will test products!) to influence our pet parent readers’ purchasing decisions. Specifically:

• Create commerce content strategy and execute against it to drive organic traffic to the site, optimize our conversion rate, and make The Wildest the destination for pet product recos
• Curate, write, edit, and publish 10+ shopping roundups for TheWildest.com per month (and regularly update/refresh existing shopping lists)
• Identify and optimize other shoppable moments across the site
• Write compelling, sharp-witted, performance-driven content
• Own the process of building relationships with retailers and brand reps who you will request products from and partner with for social media giveaways and future co-branded collaborations
• Shoot 2-4 shopping-themed iPhone videos per month for The Wildest’s social and Youtube channels that are engaging, entertaining, and clickable
• Work with the Creative team on 2-4 shoppable IG carousels/stories per month
• Work with Email Marketing Manager on 1 shoppable newsletter per month
• Synthesize performance data and SEO tools to inform and adjust the commerce content strategy and lineup
• Identify other commerce opportunities and partnerships
• Track and report affiliate earnings and commerce insights to the Growth team

THE PRO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• You have 3-5 years of editorial experience, preferably in the fashion, culture, or product recommendation space; ideally including on-camera content
• You can put pen to paper: you have excellent writing, editing, and communication skills (with clips/samples)
• You speak the language of social: you know your way around IG, TikTok, and YouTube and can create IG stories/carousels with ease
• You need not be an experienced videographer but you can shoot fun, impactful iPhone video clips that users can’t wait to click on. You are also familiar with basic video editing apps/tools
• You’re your own influencer: you and your dog are comfortable and charismatic on camera!
• You’re a data-driven pro: A creative thinker, with an ability to use both analysis tools (Looker, Google Analytics, Amazon Affiliates) and intuition to inform content decisions
• You have familiarity publishing content in a CMS, e.g. WordPress/Contentful (preferable)
• You have foundational knowledge of optimizing content for SEO (preferable)
• You love pets!
