Job Description

Wish is seeking a passionate Content Strategist to help create and deliver communications contents tailored towards hundreds of thousands of Wish merchants globally. You will be part of the Merchant Communications Team to prepare, strategize, and release a variety of merchant-facing contents, including feature release announcements, educational material & Help Center FAQ articles, and more. These contents are vital to enabling merchant understanding and adoption of Wish products/features/policies to scale their e-commerce businesses on the Wish marketplace while providing the best customer service.

What you'll be doing:

  • Dig into merchant-facing product and feature details by collaborating closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support feature launches.

  • Internalize technical specifications of each feature, break down complex business & technical concepts, and translate them into clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand contents for merchants.

  • Manage communications projects requested by global internal stakeholders to create feature release announcements, emails to internal stakeholders, and FAQ articles.

  • Proactively identify opportunities and solutions for iterating on processes to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality communications.

  • Proactively improve content accuracy and consistency across all communications channels.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience writing for web, ideally in a B2B environment

  • 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders from Engineering, Design, Product Management, and business teams

  • Background in technical writing preferred

  • Strong ability to ask questions and internalize feature specifications in order to write about them accurately

  • Strong ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment and prioritize appropriately to meet project timelines

  • Can iterate on copy quickly based on feedback

  • Resourceful, proactive, fearless, and highly detail-oriented

  • Showcase a deep level of care, ownership, and meticulousness towards your craft; you will get to hit the ground running shortly after joining!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA in Communications, English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or other related disciplines.

  • Remote work experience

  • Background and/or interest in e-commerce a plus
