Wish is seeking a passionate Content Strategist to help create and deliver communications contents for new/updated features and programs tailored towards hundreds of thousands of Wish merchants globally. You will help support the Merchant Communications Team in preparing, strategizing, and releasing a variety of merchant-facing contents, including feature release announcements, educational material & Help Center FAQ articles, content marketing material (case study, white paper, product guides, etc), and product UI copy. These merchant-facing contents are vital to enabling merchant understanding and adoption of Wish policies/features to scale their e-commerce businesses on the Wish marketplace while providing the best customer service.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategize and create accurate, clear, and easy-to-understand communications content for new/updated merchant-facing Wish features and programs, including feature release system announcements, emails to internal stakeholders, and FAQ articles.
  • Collaborate closely with global internal stakeholders from Engineering, Design, Product Management, Business Development, Logistics, Finance, and Legal teams to intake communications requests, internalize technical specifications of Wish features and programs, break down complex business & technical concepts, and strategize them into easy-to-digest and helpful contents for merchants.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with global internal stakeholder teams across time zones to anticipate, understand, and address follow up questions after delivering announcements.
  • Engaging in a variety of other content-related projects, such as providing merchant-facing product UI copy, creating case studies for new Wish programs, and developing educational material & product guides for emerging market merchants.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and solutions for iterating on processes to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality communications.
  • Proactively improve content accuracy and consistency across all communications channels.

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of experience writing for web
  • 1-2 years of experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders from Engineering, Design, Product Management, and business teams
  • Previous experience in content strategy, technical writing, creating product educational material, and project management a huge plus
  • Organized, highly detailed oriented, and can iterate on copy quickly based on feedback
  • Fearless, proactive, and with a deep level of care and meticulousness towards your craft
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment and prioritize appropriately to meet project deliverable timelines
  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally
  • Intellectually curious and a team player in a nimble and growing team
  • BA in Communications, English, Marketing or other related disciplines

Nice To Have's

  • Retail/E-commerce industry experience
  • Language fluency in Mandarin Chinese
  • Work experience in a hyper growth environment
