The ideal candidate is an experienced writer with a passion for technology and a knack for communicating with stakeholders at all levels. As a member of the Business Transformation Office, you will create a variety of content types for colleagues while helping shape our internal knowledge strategy. Your audience will include diverse teams who work together to join technology, people, and process. Working with subject matter experts, you'll use your background in content strategy and documentation to contribute to the success of the Medium Business Segment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for helping develop documentation standards across relevant teams
  • Publish and maintain content, ensuring that material is accessible and available to users
  • Create content that guides users on everything from technical system documents and flows to getting started guides and process flows for system end users
  • Research material through a combination of interviews with subject matter experts and hands-on experience with developer tools and systems.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of systems and processes used.
  • Schedule and coordinate training classes, as needed, to ensure knowledge is learned by identified timelines, i.e., lunch and learns, workshops, etc…
  • Develop or select teaching aids, such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference work.
  • Ensure all levels are trained to meet or exceed established performance standards. This may include management development programs.
  • Maintain records of training activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all relevant business partners.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience writing for audiences ranging from technical to sales
  • 3-5 years of experience creating User Guides, Flow Diagrams, Process Mapping Documents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating technical information
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with technology and systems; ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and effectively train colleagues on these items.
  • Ability to create content plans and schedules, meeting milestones and deadlines
  • Ability to present documentation and do hands-on sessions with users on as-needed basis
  • Ability to understand the target audience and recognize that different audiences will need varied documents based on their role
  • Creative thinker with the ability to rapidly understand the business objectives and present solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio), UML
  • Experience in leveraging virtual training technologies; (webinar, podcast, etc.).
  • BA/BS degree preferred
