Our Growth Mindset (The Mission): Think back on your time in school and a project or experience that got you fired up, curious, and motivated to try your best. Can you remember one? If you’re like us, there are some projects we remember decades later -- those times when we were so engaged in what we were doing that we couldn’t help but learn. Seesaw is a learning platform that brings educators, students, and families together to deepen student learning. Teachers design and facilitate powerful learning experiences, students create, reflect, collaborate and make their learning visible, and families actively support and celebrate student learning. Seesaw is used by millions of K-12 students in over half the schools in the U.S.

The Curriculum (Your Role): We are looking for an exceptional educator who is ready to use their in-depth education knowledge and extraordinary skills to lead the development of innovative preschool and early elementary content at Seesaw. It will be your responsibility to design, build and maintain learning experiences in Seesaw’s preschool and early childhood curriculum.

Your Classmates (The Team): One of the best reasons to work at Seesaw is our mission and desire to close the opportunity gap. Our team works with innovative partners, teachers, researchers, and district leaders to create engaging learning experiences. You will be joining a new team, where you’ll collaborate closely with our partners, customers, and product teams to create engaging, powerful learning experiences that are accessible to diverse learners. We believe in you, you should apply!

Subject Matter (Your Responsibilities):

  • Stay on top of key early childhood education standards, research, trends, and customer needs.
  • Design and build meaningful, unique learning experiences using Seesaw’s learning tools at scale.
  • Assess, discuss and unpack curriculum standards.
  • Develop a curriculum that supports the learning loop between teachers, students, and families.
  • Develop all student and teacher instructional materials that meet specified design and quality standards.
  • Utilize a project management system that enables you to stay on top of multiple projects and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide and receive critical feedback on lessons with the goal of always making things better and easier for students and teachers.
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor innovative classroom teachers as partner content developers as needed.
  • Occasionally deliver training and presentations to existing and prospective customers.

Prerequisites (The Job Requirements):

  • Passionate Educator - You are mission-driven, want to be part of ending the opportunity gap, and want all students, educators, and families to be supported and thrive.
  • Relationship Builder - You are a leader who listens well. Your actions match your words so when you make a promise you keep it. As a result, people like, trust, and rely on you.
  • Project Management - You are a detailed, proactive planner who can stay on top of multiple deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4+ years' experience as a PK-K teacher and curriculum leader.
  • Knowledge and experience with Seesaw and other various technologies.
  • Experience in building meaningful learning experiences for early learners.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, able to manage time, and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to feedback.
  • Rapid problem solver who embraces change and new challenges.
  • Strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships inside and outside Seesaw.
