ABOUT THE TEAM

You will be in the Brand Marketing team and working closely with the Product Marketing Manager, Lifecycle Marketing Manager and Art Director. 

WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN EMAIL COPYWRITER WHO WILL:

• Write to a brief
• Develop impactful copy across all company platforms, from Product and Marketing. Own copy and writing assigned throughout Varo, including:
• Growth marketing engagement emails
• Customer emails, in-app messages and push notifications
• Customer service emails and FAQs
• Ensure all company copy stays on brand, follows voice and tone guidelines, and exceeds expectations, expanding and maintaining the Varo Voice guide
• Seamlessly collaborate across teams and stakeholders with multiple projects at one time
• Understand that one line is better than one page, and that the Gettysburg Address is iconic for a reason (it’s short and to the point)

PREVIOUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES THAT'LL HELP YOU BE GREAT

• 3-5 years of professional production copywriting experience, at least two in creative copywriting (ideally at fast-growing tech company)
• Extensive experience writing copy for emails
• Experience in regulated financial services copy
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build consensus
• Our ideal candidate is passionate about connecting with customers through writing to help people improve their financial lives
• Excellent communication skills
