About the Role

We are looking for a junior video editor to work onsite at Parsable 5-10hrs/wk. In this role you will support all areas of marketing to help us create great stories using video, animation and sound. You will be responsible for helping out with a wide variety of projects from idea to delivery including company overview “Sizzle” videos, educational videos, customer testimonials, “talking head” interviews, explainer animations and more.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Parsable marketing team to brainstorm ideas for video and come up with creative solutions
• Review footage, create rough cuts, adjust audio, color correct, and complete final editing using Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
• Create VFX and motion graphics, add lower-thirds, bumpers and other elements to footage
• Shoot vlogger-style video footage of in-house experts. Capture external audio and sync to video. Add VFX and lower thirds. Combine footage with screen-captured product video and stock B-roll to create a seamless stories
• Create simple animations and graphics using a range of tools including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Spark and others.
• Create short videos using hosted services such as Promo or Biteable
• Edit videos for length and adjust dimensions for use on social media
• Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro; After Effects knowledge is a bonus, Illustrator and Photoshop nice-to-have
• Previous experience working in a corporate environment is preferred.
• A keen eye for space, timing and movement aesthetics.
• Strong editing, motion graphics and animation skills - basic portfolio required
• Knowledge of photographic trends and techniques, motion after-effect, photo editing, and photo manipulation;
• Ability to articulate ideas and to take a creative project from initial to final stages;
• Be a team player and able to work in a fast pace environment;
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Video, Animation or Web Creative preferred.
