Manager, Content Strategy - Technical Skills
The UFB Content team delivers on our mission by leveraging our powerful marketplace content model to deliver on-demand learning content to solve our customer’s problems. We are looking for a highly strategic and creative manager with a passion for online education to lead the content strategy for our Technical Skills (think Web Development, Data Science, Design, and IT Certification training content). For the vertical you will be managing a team to lead a data-driven approach to prioritizing content that improves the relevance and differentiation of our collection. You will also interface with our Product and GTM teams (Sales & Customer Success) on a regular basis to ensure that they understand and can speak to the value propositions of our Technical Skills Content.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve Udemy’s content strategy in Technical Skills to meet the evolving needs of business customers
- Develop deep understanding of global markets trends, competition, and end users to support content and product roadmap recommendations
- Translate insights and analysis into business plans and strategic initiatives that support content strategy and unlock higher content consumption
- Develop strategic frameworks and operational processes to improve the Udemy For Business collection and oversee the team’s deep analysis of categories of content to fill topic gaps
- Manage the content acquisition team to improve the speed and relevance of active content acquisition
- Be the content evangelist for the vertical, educating our internal teams and customers about our competitive differentiation
- Partner with our instructors to find new ways to solve customer needs and build deeper learning experiences
- Advocate for, and provide insight on, critical product feature development to help Udemy accelerate success
MUST HAVE Qualifications:
- 5+ years of work experience in strategy consulting, content management, or product marketing ideally in a SaaS based business
- Exceptional strategic and analytical skills and a proven ability to solve complex problems
- Excellent communication skills able to share your insights through presentations and discussions with stakeholders to influence decision-making across the company.
- Experience managing individual contributors and managers
- Proven experience working well in cross-functional teams as well as leading and executing large multi-faceted projects
- The ability to get things done by constantly moving between strategy formulation and hands-on, scrappy execution
NICE TO HAVE Qualifications
- Knowledge of one or more technical skills domains and the desire to go deeper
- Expertise in the B2B technology space
- Experience in high growth SaaS based company
- A strong appetite for taking risks, learning, and applying those learnings to move fast
- SQL, Google Analytics skills a plus
