About the Team:

Audience Development is the bridge between the audience and Crunchyroll at large, super-serving fans around the world with the experiences they can’t find anywhere else - like the Anime Awards! The team oversees our award-winning social media network, video production, on-site programming, and a robust news platform. By creating meaningful connections, Audience Development wields many of the tools that bring fans back to Crunchyroll time and time again, guiding them to their next favorite anime.

We’re looking for a Production Coordinator to join our team and focus on the upcoming Crunchyroll Anime Awards in February, 2020. For three years running, Crunchyroll has worked to give fans a voice in honoring their favorite anime through this multi-faceted award series. The program spans from December through February, online and in person, racking up trending hashtags and millions of votes each year. In addition to the awards, this role may occasionally assist in our daily production operations including shoots and publishing content. 

Location: San Francisco

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll’s passionate community.

About You:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Production Coordinator to streamline Anime Awards planning and production operations. In this role, you’d assist in production ranging from outlining schedules, booking presenters, coordinating with vendors, communicating across internal teams -- from the beginning of planning all the way to the live show!

This role requires interest in live production and event management, along with some experience in these fields, marketing and/or media. This role will work across multiple teams to streamline communication, decisions and delivery for this industry-leading program. The ideal candidate can take direction but also work independently in a fast-paced environment. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and proactive nature will be a benefit, as well as an interest in anime! Must have legal right to work in the United States.

Contract Duration:  Jan 6, 2019 - Feb 21, 2020, estimated 40 hours per week in office

A day in the life of our Anime Awards team:

  • Organize media assets including content clips, music, graphics, headshots, as needed. Work closely with manager to ensure all assets are received in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Track performance of each stage in Anime Awards towards team goals. Communicate trends and insights from analytics to wider team.
  • Partner with international regions to provide asset templates ensuring Anime Awards reaches fans around the globe!
  • Set up meetings and collaborate with other teams including brand management, design, marketing, etc. 
  • Work with producers, host and editors to occasionally support video shoots
  • Create and distribute schedules, call sheets, scripts and other production documents
  • Coordinate talent and guests, arrange travel and logistics. Oversee hospitality elements for influencers, industry members and special guests traveling in for Anime Awards
  • Work closely with Producer to coordinate production schedules and resources
  • Coordinate with ad sales team on sponsor integrations within Anime Awards
  • Assist in tracking a detailed budget and timeline
  • Help set up and maintain rehearsals, green room and stage for livestream event
