Coil is looking for a social and editorial content pro to build and lead Coil’s approach to owned and shared social and content channels. This role will be responsible for the success of these channels, including setting overall strategy, editorial planning, and driving community engagement and social audience growth.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building brands and deepening relationships with communities. Candidates should have a deep knowledge of what makes content successful across channels and be skilled in writing and storytelling through imagery and video. A comfort level with developing and executing strategies and a desire to test and learn from new ideas is also desired.

Ideal Qualifications

  • A deep understanding of the social and content ecosystem, a passion for creators, and an insatiable curiosity about consumers and their content consumption.
  • 2 to 5+ years experience in a social and content role working cross-functionally to accomplish business goals.
  • Exceptional writing skills. 
  • Experience partnering with marketing and design leads to tell brand, customer and influencer stories via blogs, social channels and video.
  • Have a strong understanding of the world of social platforms and multi-channel strategies.
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to help develop and streamline process.
  • Marketing, trend spotting and/or pop culture background a plus.
  • Strong collaborative, consultative, project management, and organizational skills.

Description

  • Actively manage Coil’s existing content and social channels, including blog, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and establish video content strategy.
  • Develop and manage editorial strategy and execution, calendar and reporting.
  • Inform channel optimization (eg. titles, tags, descriptions, annotations, etc.).
  • Drive content strategy optimization by tracking, measuring, and reporting on channel growth, creative performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Work with the design team to optimize the overall look and feel of all channels within brand guidelines.
  • Inform strategy by keeping a pulse on external culture and behaviors, including monitoring content creation and engagement trends.
  • Support integrated, multi-channel marketing and PR campaigns.
