We’re looking for an experienced UX content strategist to grow our team! You’ll report to the Director of Content Strategy and you’ll be responsible for structuring and designing user-centered content and writing clear, concise and engaging microcopy with the goal of continuously optimizing the quality of our products. This includes understanding user needs and business goals, identifying opportunities to improve the user experience, testing content and iterating accordingly. In short, you’ll develop strategies at a macro level as well as implement them with hands-on writing.
You’ll be working alongside designers, architects, product managers, developers, and marketers to look at new products holistically, develop testable value hypotheses, map experiences, and craft engaging onboarding flows.
You adapt well to changing priorities and different flavors of projects, from forward-thinking initiatives to clearly defined projects that move fast and are quick wins for the team. You must be able to work independently on multiple projects, engaging at all levels of the organization from individual contributors to executive staff. You demonstrate a passion for improving the customer experience and understand that culture is the foundation of success in UX.
Job Description:
Provide strategic content direction on high-priority projects that improve the user experience
Write clear, concise, and compelling product content that focuses on helping our customers get their jobs done and promotes better feature adoption
Help scale editorial processes, standards, and quality measures
Define a style and nomenclature guide for all administrative features of our product
Contribute to our product content style guide, terminology database, and design system
Build strong relationships and collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders across the company
Work closely with the user research team to understand our customers’ communication needs in order to enable evidence-based decision-making
Contribute to the growth and culture of the UX team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in English, journalism, communications, marketing, creative writing, technical writing, information management, or a related field
5+ years of writing experience in a global environment
Proven content strategy development and product content writing skills, ideally at a consumer tech company
A high level of empathy for the customer; familiar with Design Thinking methodologies
Strong portfolio, showcasing strategic work samples as well as UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Ability to work through ambiguity and competing priorities
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s Degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, creative writing, technical writing, information management or a related field
Experience working on enterprise, business collaboration, or SaaS tools; with strategic initiatives for voice and/or video products
Experience with product localization processes and creating source content for global audiences; crafting and governing content standards
