Who You Are

As an Account Manager - Defense & Emerging Tech, you are the key driver in building strong customer relationships and executing account strategies across diverse and innovative market segments. You work with cell makers and OEMs focused on end applications such as drones, robotics, eVTOLs, AI devices, and other next-generation technologies. You are responsible for developing engagement strategies and account plans for both existing and prospective customers. Collaborating closely with internal and external technical and commercial stakeholders, you identify, qualify, and advance commercial opportunities that align with Sila's commercial strategy and product roadmap. You are a confident voice in meetings, offering guidance and sharing your market knowledge, and you are able to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels, from executive leadership to working teams. Your responsibilities also include crafting contractual agreements and multi-year forecasts.

Responsibilities and Duties  
  • Develop and execute account strategies for all key accounts in the domestic markets.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at customers, both for yourself and other team members.
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Forecast demand across key accounts, creating multi-year projections to inform strategic planning and resource allocation.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements 
  • Proven experience in business development, account management, and project management with OEM customers.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience selling into consumer electronics and/or defense supply chains, especially novel products requiring physical integration.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be US citizen
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location
  • Expect to travel, mostly domestically, around 30% of the time

The starting base pay for this role is between $136,000 and $172,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. #LI-Remote
