Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. The Company’s three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world; Lens Studio, an augmented reality platform that powers AR across Snapchat and other services; and its AR glasses, Spectacles.

The Specs and Lens Studio Marketing team unites Snap’s consumer and developer marketing under one creative system, connecting storytelling, design, and innovation to deliver world-class work across audiences. We build the Specs brand from launch to scale, grow the Lens Studio developer ecosystem, and drive flagship partnerships and campaigns that shape culture and redefine how the world experiences Snap.

As Creative Director you will lead the Innovation Studio, the in-house creative hub powering Specs and Lens Studio Developer Marketing. You’re a hands-on creative leader, conceptual, copy-fluent, and design-savvy, who can think strategically while diving deep into craft. You’ll shape ideas from insight to execution, sell breakthrough creative, and push work that connects culture, creativity, and technology.

Technically fluent, with a strong understanding of immersive technologies including AR, AI, and wearables, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of designers, writers, and conceptual creatives to deliver bold, high-impact storytelling across campaigns, partnerships, and product launches.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead concept development and creative execution for Specs and Lens Studio campaigns.

  • Drive creative for flagship partnerships from brief to launch.

  • Be hands-on in conception, copywriting, and design direction.

  • Present and pitch creative ideas to senior stakeholders and partners.

  • Mentor and inspire the Innovation Studio team, setting the bar for storytelling and craft excellence.

  • Partner closely with Global Brand Experience, Comms, and Product to align creative storytelling with strategic goals.

  • Uphold Snap’s creative standards across all consumer and developer-facing work.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proven record of developing and mentoring creative talent and teams.

  • Hands-on creative leader, actively concepting, writing, and building decks, not just directing work.

  • Exceptional conceptual thinker with strong copy, design, and presentation skills.

  • Deep understanding of culture, creativity, and emerging technologies (AR, AI, immersive).

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across consumer and developer campaigns.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments.

  • Balance of ambition, humility, and craft excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of creative experience, including 4+ in senior or creative leadership roles and 2+ years managing teams.

  • Portfolio demonstrating world-class conceptual thinking, storytelling, and design direction.

  • Proven record leading campaigns from strategy through launch across digital, experiential, and innovation work.

  • Experience across consumer and developer-facing creative.

  • Familiarity with AR, AI, or interactive innovation campaigns.

  • Recognition from top-tier creative or innovation awards preferred.
