About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Cyber AI Lead Software Specialty Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation agentic AI systems within the cybersecurity space. In this role, you will lead a team of AI engineers to build robust, scalable, and ethical AI solutions that automate complex tasks across enterprise workflows.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
  • Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
  • Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
  • Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Mentor less experienced software engineers
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced software engineering or technical degree
  • Hands-on Technical Leadership and Innovation
  • Drive innovation in applying AI/ML to cyber use cases such as threat detection, anomaly detection, and response automation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and lead the development of proof-of-concepts and pilots.
  • Hands-on experience with building and scaling GenAI solutions and agentic workflows
  • Identify and apply GenAI and intelligent automation for faster discovery, documentation, design generation, code scaffolding, and test automation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Alignment
  • Partner with product managers, platform teams, and cyber operations to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Ensure AI capabilities integrate seamlessly with cyber platforms and data pipelines.
  • Risk Management and Compliance Oversight
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with AI use in cybersecurity.
  • Ensure models and AI systems comply with internal security policies, privacy standards, and ethical AI principles.
  • Document and Knowledge Sharing
  • Maintain high-quality documentation of architecture, design decisions, and patterns.
  • Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the cyber and AI communities.
  • Lead training sessions and contribute to internal best practices.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
