What is special about this role?

As a Data Processing Specialist, you are responsible for managing and processing data to ensure its accuracy, integrity and security.  This role involves entering, updating and maintaining data within databases, systems, and/ or spreadsheets.  As a Data Processing Specialist, you will work closely with various departments to support data related tasks and projects. This contract is project based, expected length 3 - 6 months, with opportunity for extension. 

As a Data Processing Specialist, you will:

  • Accurately enter and update data into databases, spreadsheets and other systems.
  • Maintain and update data records regularly to ensure information is current.
  • Generate reports and perform data analysis as needed.
  • Work closely with various departments to support their data needs and requirements.
  • Perform filing, copying and or assist with other administrative tasks as assigned.

About you:

  • Able to commute to our office at 101 S Ellsworth Ave, San Mateo, CA 94401
  • Willing to commit to project based, contract position. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in data entry, data processing or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pluses:

  • Understanding of Billing or Revenue operation
  • Experience with HIPAA regulations is a plus

Expected Pay For This Role:

Non- Exempt - $25 - $28/ hour, 40 hours weekly. 

The salary range above is our reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role across US locations. Actual starting pay will be based on non-discriminatory job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. What To Expect During Your Onboarding Week:

We want to make sure your first week is spent learning the foundations. You will be invited to live orientation sessions and spend time with your hiring manager developing your individual roadmap to success. This experience will include sessions that cover your benefits, security & privacy training, an introduction to the OKR framework used at Helix and our communication tools and norms.
