About the Role:
CrowdStrike is looking for an Engineer III to join our growing Production Systems team. As a Software Development Engineer III, you will be fundamental in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data. The candidate will be responsible for building and developing solutions that correlate data across various sources. If you are interested in working on a high-performing team with interesting problems to solve, this is the job for you!
What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement data pipelines to aggregate data from diverse sources (relational databases, APIs etc)
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between sources and leverage automation tooling to aid in data integrity and efficiency
  • Develop automated quality checks and monitoring procedures to ensure data consistency
  • Document processes thoroughly for visibility, auditing, and maintainability.
  • Be an energetic 'self-starter' with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables, both individually and when leading a team
  • Brainstorm, define, and build software solutions collaboratively across multiple teams
  • Work with internal business partners to analyze requirements and craft elegant, robust, and reliable solutions to solve complex technical problems.
  • Raise the technical IQ of the team by being passionate about learning and sharing the newest technologies & tricks with others.
  • Deliver and accept feedback with grace and courtesy
  • Represent the systems team as a technical leader. Provide direction and insight for projects, discovery, and problem management
  • Report regularly to program management and organizational leadership on the status of critical projects


What You'll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience working in a large-scale production environment
  • Experience designing schemas and optimizing SQL queries for RDBMS such as MySQL or Postgres
  • Experience writing scripts/applications for for automation, tools, dashboards, and alarms with Go
  • Understanding of common network management protocols and APIs such as SNMP, RCMP+, or RedFish
  • Experience developing and integrating APIs using REST, GraphQL, or SOAP
  • Experience developing applications with cross-functional teams
  • Extensive experience with version control systems such as git
  • Enthusiastically able to serve as technical mentor for junior team members
  • Strong desire to intimately learn new systems and methodologies
  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to make good, timely decisions.
  • Experience developing automated software tests such as unit testing or acceptance testing
  • Strong focus on security when developing or reviewing code or systems
  • Be able to take 2-3 business related trips per year for group meetings
  • Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions as part of a worldwide team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with the Twelve-Factor App methodology
  • Experience designing authentication or authorization systems
  • Experience implementing tracing and metrics within systems using OpenTracing and Prometheus
  • Experience with modern web technologies such as ReactJS or Angular
  • Experience working with large-scale bare-metal hardware
  • Understanding of container systems such as Docker and Kubernetes

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $180,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
