ZS's Discovery Venture partners with clients to develop and deploy in silico approaches that accelerate the discovery of safer, more effective therapeutics. We work closely with other ZS practices, bringing hands-on scientific expertise to enhance both technology and strategy initiatives. As a Venture within ZS, we continuously develop, test, and refine new approaches to maximize impact for our clients and the patients they serve. This unique position enables us to combine agility and innovation with the resources and knowledge of ZS's 13,000+ global team.
ZS is expanding the Discovery Venture and seeking driven, curious, and creative leaders to help shape the practice area, collaborate across ZS's R&D teams, and lead a rapidly growing global team.
ADVANCED ANALYTICS MANAGER - ZS DISCOVERY
The Advanced Analytics Manager will be responsible for contributing to the growth of the Venture by applying scientific and technical expertise to generat e new Discovery opportunities, build long term trusted advisory relationships with key stakeholders in pharma/biotech, and develop & deliver solutions relevant to your client base. You will promote ZS's capabilities in the industry, growing our client awareness and presence.
What You'll Do

• Create measurable impact across many clients by delivering innovation throughout the drug discovery process

• Partner with ZS leaders and client service teams to sell and deliver D iscovery projects for Life Science clients, including project scoping, approach definition, project management and execution, client communication, people management

• Serve as a primary day-to-day project lead, manage multiple workstreams ensuring fulfillment of project objective on-time and on- budget

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert to support teams in client project proposals, client discussions, thought leadership, etc.

• Build long term, trusted relationships with clients & internal stakeholders

• Stay current on latest research and drug discovery trends; develop P oints of View s, offerings, frameworks, tools, whitepapers, etc. on discovery innovations to build firm intellectual capital and thought leadership

• Partner with other Discovery leaders to support team growth and development including m entor ing / coach ing junior members o f the team, manage and collaborate with an extended global team of diverse skill sets

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated ability to effectively apply advanced algorithms and technologies (Deep learning, NLP, recommenders, distributed computing, etc ) to solve complex, real-world problems

• Experience framing first-of-a-kind business problems into analytical solutions and then going beyond the POC to deploy large-scale AI solutions in production

• Ability to blend team leadership with hands-on contributions to stay at leading edge of innovation

• Demonstrated leadership the use of advanced analytics to improve drug discovery

• Passion to transform therapeutic discovery across the industry

• PhD, MBA or other advanced degree is highly desirable

• Approximately 6-8 + years of relevant prior experience, ideally including professional service or management consulting experience

• Experience working with pre-clinical research clients is highly desirable but not necessary

• Record of successful and continued business development

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form

• Strong-decision making skills and ability to influence others

• Analytical problem solving skills, with an ability to see the big picture and delve into details

• Excellent organization and planning skills

• Eagerness to learn, grow, and work collaboratively
