The Intelligence Analyst - Emerging Threats will serve as a subject matter expert on event-driven, dynamic, and growing security threats. The Analyst will gather, integrate, and report information about geopolitical events, security trends, threats, and other matters critical to the business. Reporting to the Intelligence Manager for Emerging Threats, the Analyst will execute processes that inform and meet the intelligence requirements of company leadership and cross-functional teams while supporting proactive risk mitigation measures. The Analyst will provide timely, actionable analysis, synthesize indicators and warnings, participate meaningfully in internal and external information-sharing mechanisms, engage in intelligence processes that drive operations, and work collaboratively on high stakes matters vital to Zoom and our customers. Examples of emerging threats for which the Analyst will have responsibility include geopolitical events, executive protection/threats, extremism, physical security concerns, travel risks, brand and reputational risks, natural disasters, and other issues as conditions warrant.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide intelligence support to high priority projects that have broad and visible impact across Zoom

  • Produce finished intelligence products--tactical, operational, and strategic--for Zoom leaders and decision makers

  • Provide warning on transnational and localized threats, global trends and events, and high-risk areas with timely, accurate, and actionable reporting

  • Advise management and stakeholders at all levels on intelligence and intelligence-related issues 

  • Contribute to the execution of refined intelligence and operational processes, including the development of Zoom stakeholder requirements

  • Regularly meet with cross-functional teams to enhance execution of strategies, and provide a comprehensive view of risks to Zoom

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security threats emerging on event-driven, cyclical, or seasonal cadence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with specialization in intelligence, security, or international affairs-related area

  • 3 or more years of experience in the intelligence, security, risk, investigative journalism, research, and/or cybersecurity fields with substantial time spent in threat analysis

  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjust to rapidly changing priorities, and drive strategic projects to successful delivery

  • Knowledge of global threats and threat actors, including nation states, non-state actors, transnational threats, and areas of particular interest to technology companies 

  • Experience in open source research, and particularly social media, to deliver high quality written products and documentation to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with varied company stakeholders utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to establish credibility and working relationships with a wide range of corporate personnel, including operations, management, executive and legal staff as well as external personnel, including auditors and customers

  • Passion for people, strategy, and writing

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, produce quality technical documentation, and meet tight deadlines

  • Sense of humor, excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic, flexibility and ability to work independently

  • Ability to quickly issue spot and appropriately prioritize risk and outcomes


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Combination of government and private sector experience

  • Active security clearance

  • Experience working in video communications, telecommunications, technology, security, risk, compliance, or government
