The Forensic Analyst will be a subject matter lead for Zoom’s Insider Risk Mitigation Program. This person will report to our Forensics Investigations Manager and Principal Security Engineer Investigator. They will partner closely with our forensic and security investigators, global intelligence analysts, and multiple cross functional teams to identify, investigate, and mitigate internal risks to the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a forensic analyst and subject matter expert within the Insider Risk Mitigation Program. 

  • Perform incident root cause, forensic analysis and reporting using a variety of tools. 

  • Understanding of digital forensic principles and techniques to apply sound methodologies to collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence. 

  • Prepare written professional investigative reports, policies and procedures.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to conduct prompt, thorough, and fair investigations.

  • Work with cross functional teams on implementation of tailored indicators and warnings, including standards, responses, notifications, advisories, and updates.

  • Work closely with security, privacy, people, compliance, and trust and safety teams to investigate and analyze potential incidents, determine legal and regulatory responsibilities, and advise on necessary and recommended responses.

  • Regularly meet with internal teams (e.g., security, legal, people) to understand strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives, and advise on risk, events, and actions to be taken.

  • Help develop long-term solutions for systemic issues.

  • Respond timely to inquiries from colleagues with sound, succinct, and actionable advice.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct experience in investigations and forensic analysis, preferably with a combination of private and government.

  • Experience in performing digital forensic investigations, log analysis, and an understanding of network forensics.

  • Experience working internationally or on a globally diverse team.

  • Experience in strategic and tactical intelligence analysis and partnering with intel analysts.

  • Extensive experience with SIEM, DLP, UAM, UEBA, and other analytics and forensics tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry recognized cyber certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSEC, GCFA, GSLC, GCIH, GCED, and GCTI a plus.

  • U.S. Security clearance eligible.

  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency. Mandarin Chinese preferred (verbal and written).

  • Extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjust to rapidly changing priorities, and drive strategic projects to successful delivery.

  • Sense of humor, excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic, flexibility and ability to work independently.

  • Ability to remain respectful and diplomatic in the face of difficult and uncomfortable situations surrounding an investigation.

  • Experience supporting security, legal, and people teams is a plus.

  • Passion to work in a collaborative team environment with an attitude to deliver happiness.

  • Ability to quickly issue, spot and appropriately prioritize risk and outcomes is a must.
