Coinbase is looking for a Third Party Security (TPS) Analyst to perform third party security assessments, and to support key maturity initiatives on the security risk management roadmap for the vendor management lifecycle, including how we evaluate, escalate, and collaborate with other teams to monitor vendor risk.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Review vendor procurement requests to ensure accurate inherent risk details are documented
- Complete TPS assessments including review and assessment of due diligence questionnaires, security certifications, policy documentation, and follow-up responses
- Manage residual risk treatment and any identified security assessment findings through the appropriate risk remediation or risk acceptance workflows
- Support the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team and serve as a TPS team representative during vendor escalations
- Collaborate with Vendor Management, TPRM, Legal and Security teams on vendor engagements requiring supplemental security assessments or requirements
- Manage deliverables incorporated into various TPS maturity initiatives and work with partners to implement program improvements
- Work with the TPRM team to support continuous improvement of the entire vendor lifecycle
- Work with additional Security teams to further mature and integrate a cross-functional engagement strategy
- Act as a TPS domain expert to support supplemental consulting and guidance for cross-functional security teams and business partners
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- 3+ years of security/IT risk & compliance experience
- Experience with operational/technology risk management with a focus on third parties
- Solid domain knowledge of information security and cyber risk
- Solid working knowledge and audit experience of cloud technologies, AWS preferred
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Ability to effectively and autonomously complete expected assessment and project assignments with minimal guidance
- Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
- Focus on precision and accuracy, and a tenacity to clarify ambiguity
Nice to haves:
- BA or BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of third party industry frameworks, such as VSAQ, SIG, and CSA
- Hands-on experience with security frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or ISO27001
- Security certifications e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM, CTPRP or other relevant certifications
- Understanding of regulations governing outsourcing in banking and financial services
- Experience in financial services
- Experience in cloud security
