Business Analyst, Shopper 360
OVERVIEW
Our Operations team is seeking a Business Analyst who is passionate about shopper insights and metrics to support improvement to the shopper experience.
HIGHLIGHTS: This role will drive the continued improvement of our shopper experience. By developing quantitative and data-based business cases to support new or existing initiatives, the Shopper Insights sub-team will be the most active voice of our more than half a million shoppers. Using actual data, as well as benchmarking and qualitative input from other teams and shoppers, this team will build an Instacart that shoppers love and in turn customers love!
ABOUT THE JOB
- You will monitor the most critical metrics that matter for our shopper community.
- You will execute analysis requiring complex data retrieval to uncover and share business insights with our leadership team.
- You will maintain performance dashboards and highlight key areas of opportunity and focus.
- You will analyze the impact and efficiency of currently in-flight programs and help guide their strategic direction.
- You will build analytical and visual tools to support account managers and their partners.
- You will collaborate on critical operational projects that support our shoppers, testing new processes, developing business cases for future productization and turning your strategic recommendations into reality
- Serve as an important cross-functional liaison between Instacart’s Product, Engineering, Operations, Business Development & Finance teams.
ABOUT YOU
- 2+ years of experience in consulting, finance, operations strategy, or other quantitative and relevant field.
- Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel & SQL
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a passion for turning data into significant insights
- Cross-functional Communication: you can still speak the language of operations and continuous improvement to internal and external partners
- Willingness to engage in the field: you will bring the full shopper perspective to bear as you conduct your analysis and make your recommendations.
- Understanding of data: you understand how different critical metrics influence each other and can predict the cascading effects one process change may have on a set of metrics.
- Positive demeanor: even the most demanding partners can’t get you down, you can keep a smile and a hard-working approach through critical moments.
