As a Senior Analyst in Trust and Safety, you will play a critical role working with a cross-functional team to keep our marketplace safe and build a platform for growth.
Analyze trends, identify insights, and create models and rules to detect and manage risk fraud, account takeovers, phishing, and malware
Track key operation metrics to ensure policy enforcement and operational effectiveness
Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell stories
Extract fraud behavior patterns through analyses on large data sets, enhance fraud rules, and improve automation
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Business, Operations, and Product) to translate requirements into technical specifications
2 + years of work experience in data analytics role
Strong SQL, Excel and presentation skills
Passion for Upwork and a strong motivation to solve challenging risk problems to protect our customers and our company’s revenue
Experience in handling large scale structured/unstructured data
Experience in analysis and presentation of results in a clear and effective manner
Familiarity with at least one scripting language such as Unix Shell Scripting, Python, etc.
Predictive analytics experience a plus
Strong interest or previous experience in working in trust, risk, or security
Ability to work independently in a small team
Curious and skilled at identifying solutions that best address the root cause
Desire to work in a dynamic environment and lead priorities across multiple simultaneous projects
