Bolt is hiring its first Business Intelligence Associate to help build Bolt’s data and analytics muscle. The ideal candidate has experience manipulating large data sets in SQL, creating dashboards for executives, and is excited to define and scale processes that will allow Bolt to scale and grow.

What you will be doing

• Architect payments data aggregation, analytics, and visualization projects from end to end. Lead requirements gathering sessions, analyze requirements, design and develop analytical projects working together with users finding the best possible solution to a given business problem
• Work with Engineering to design, implement, and support our data systems as they pertain to payments
• Create and maintain automated “single source of truth” reports to support data-driven decision making
• Work cross-functionally with our payments strategy, finance, engineering, compliance, product, risk, operations, support, and sales teams
• Support Payments Strategy to ensure Processing Efficiencies and Cost Optimization are all being achieved. Create a continuous improvement mindset within payments and operations, looking for new efficiencies and areas for optimization at all times
• Stand up Payment Analytics & Operations: 
• Develop our internal systems to ensure every dollar is tracked and reconciled accurately and automatically. Understand technical flows between multiple payment providers and banks
• Investigate any discrepancies in the data and work with engineering, customer experience, and finance teams to resolve 
• Develop a deep internal understanding of our financial ecosystem and transactions costs
• Build and operate the processes that maintain the health of our financial flows as we scale 

What would set you up for success

• 3-5+ years in a business intelligence or data analytics role
• Mastery of SQL data querying and other data analytics tools including Tableau and Excel
• Ability to digest and distill large amounts of data 
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience working independently and directly with both engineers and business users to build reports and solve business questions with data
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• General sense of urgency and ability to prioritize (operations is the critical bottleneck for real money flows)

What would set you apart

• Experience in a fintech company and understanding of the payments ecosystem and fund flows is a plus
• Familiarity with financial file format standards such as CAMT, MT, ISO20022 XMLs is a plus
