At DoorDash we’re building the most scalable and reliable delivery network to support our three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers. On our Infrastructure team, we need to provide reliable and scalable building blocks and services that power our products.

As a Capacity Manager you will help us drive transparency, analysis, forecasting, and governance of our engineering spend and efficiency. You’ll be working cross-functionally with our engineering teams, finance, procurement, and legal to provide solid guidance on how our resources are used, as well as accurate plans on where we will be, as DoorDash continues to grow as a business.

About the Role

Your responsibilities include:

• Providing transparency and visibility into the efficiencies of our engineering infrastructure including how we use our cloud resources and our vendor partners.
• Building and maintaining cost models so teams know how much they are spending.
• Understanding and communicating trends so we can do accurate financial and capacity planning.
• Planning our growth in infrastructure resources as we expand our business internationally.

We’re excited about you because…

• You have at least 3 years experience in an analytical role or a role directly working on capacity planning of cloud-based infrastructure.
• You are very familiar with Amazon Web Services, including how to understand and analyze its usage.
• You are familiar with containerized, elastic environments (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• You love digging through data and know how to build a story to explain it.
• You are organized and have excellent written and verbal communication.
