Creative and curious? We want you to come join Unity as a Data Analyst to support our Publishing Channels team! You will be given the responsibility for understanding the underlying data behind our user activity and commercial operations, creating, presenting and implementing unique reporting solutions for both operational and management layers of the business.  

You will succeed in this role because you are really comfortable querying SQL, crafting self-serve dashboards through multiple visualisation tools, and eager to fully understand the business context that applies to our main data across business units.

You will be a core member of our Finance team and based in either our San Francisco, Copenhagen, or Montreal office. Come be a part of our journey!

Responsibilities

• Utilize internal data sources and external visualization tools to analyze data and generate self-serve dashboards that will drive insights for smarter business decisions and daily operations
• Understand the data behind our user editor activity and commercial operations to constantly improve sourcing and utilization of this data
• Partner with specific functions of the business (e.g. Web team, eCommerce engine, Analytics, Ads, Product Marketing, R&D, Data Warehouse teams) and develop a deep understanding of their data infrastructure and data points
• Provide guidance and drive strategic decisions regarding new technology and tools applicable to day to day data operations within the Publishing Channels team
• Be the go to person for small data manipulation and simple daily reporting needs for our Publishing Channels team

Requirements

• Experience as a data analyst or BI role
• Proficient in SQL as well as great understanding of tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Big Query
• Awareness and basic understanding of basic data modeling concepts
• Statistics knowledge with strong proficiency in Excel 
• Experience working successfully in a collaborative environment

• Proficient in Python, R, or other
