Position: Data Center Deployment Engineer

Location:  San Jose, CA

NOTE:  U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of customers assigned to this role.

We currently have an opportunity for a Data Center Deployment Engineer to join our team. You will be part of a small but growing team reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Centers & Infrastructure. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be building and maintaining the physical infrastructure for over 100 Data Centers located all around the world.
Responsibilities:

• Travel to remote Data Centers to perform the physical installation of servers and network devices
• Follow documentation absolutely during the installation and cabling of servers and network devices
• Interface with vendors, contractors and Remote Hands during installations and maintenance
• Perform initial configuration of servers and network devices and validate prior to deployment
• Pack, unpack and inventory servers, network devices and other equipment
• Perform component repair, replacement and software/firmware updates

Qualifications:

• You have the desire, willingness and ability to travel ~50% of the time
• You currently hold a valid U.S. Passport
• You are a U.S. Citizen
• You are responsible, trustworthy and extremely motivated
• You have 5+ years of experience with server and network hardware in a Data Center environment
• You have an expert knowledge of server and networking components, optics and cabling
• You possess strong Linux and Network Administration skills
• You have the ability to lift, carry and move up to 75lbs
