Instagram is one of the largest and fastest growing apps in the world with over one billion monthly active users and growing at a rapid pace. Businesses and brands have always been an essential part of Instagram’s community. Every day, marketers and people show an interest in doing more on Instagram, whether it's learning about a new brand, shopping for products or downloading a mobile app. Since opening up our platform to self-serve advertising in markets around the world and introducing new ad formats and objectives to deliver performance, we have seen millions of monthly advertisers come to Instagram to grow their business.

We are looking for the product analytics and data science leader for Instagram’s Business Experiences product pillar. Whether you discover a charity you care about through a creator, learn about a product launch from a Stories ad, or buy a pair of sneakers while browsing Explore, this team’s mission is making it easy to discover and engage with businesses you love. While we remain primarily focused on ads products, over time our teams increasingly: 1) influence and drive core consumer experiences, and 2) create end-to-end products for businesses, organic and paid. This is IG’s primary monetization arm, and this leader (with cross-functional partners, of course) is responsible for understanding and improving the experience for people when they interact with ads, as well as the experience advertisers have when they buy ads.

This team and pillar cover 3 key product areas:1) Ads Experiences: focused on creating advertiser value across all formats and features by helping people discover, interact and grow closer to the things they love; 2) Business Verticals: focused on building industry-specific Instagram experiences that help people discover, consider and purchase from the businesses and creators they love; and 3) Personalized Ads: focused on the future of personalized ads on Instagram.

This leader will not only establish themselves as a product owner, but represent data and analytics, including defining the product roadmap, driving the understanding of our ecosystem across advertisers, users and our ads stack. We are looking for a leader with excellent product sense and analytical ability to drive informed product decisions. You are scrappy, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, progression, and user engagement of a product. This is a high-visibility role, so the ideal candidate has very strong communication skills and should be comfortable interfacing with leaders in a cross-functional capacity within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
