Data Storytelling Manager
OVERVIEW
Instacart is looking for a Data Storytelling Manager to join its Communications team. As Instacart continues to evolve and grow as a household name, we’re excited to bring on a new team member to help develop new facets of Instacart’s narrative by leveraging Instacart’s vast catalog of grocery data (one of the largest in the world!) to tell relevant, compelling & press-worthy stories. Instacart has partnered with more than 500 beloved national, regional and local retailers to deliver from nearly 40,000 stores across more than 5,500 cities in North America. Our Catalog contains more than 5M unique products with over 560M listings. There is a wealth of data to dig into and explore - and in so doing, identify major trends and shifts in customer behavior.
In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in the strategic development & growth of Instacart’s data storytelling function, and responsible for partnering with the data storytelling PR manager to proactively identify press-worthy stories featuring Instacart’s grocery catalog data, develop deep-dive reports on relevant industry topics, and pull data insights in response to inbound media requests.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for innovative & creative data storytelling and who knows how to build and support big ideas. You’ll bring a data-driven perspective to our team, and provide quantitative leadership to uncover newsworthy insights that speak to our consumers, retailers, advertising partners and business stakeholders.
This position reports to the Director of Consumer PR. The Instacart Communications team is largely based in San Francisco, however this position can be located anywhere in the US, and is open to remote work.
