About the Role:
The Core Platform team ensures Finix’s complete payment platform is highly available, scalable, and performant. A Database Engineer will drive the design, development, administration, and monitoring of our database infrastructure. Finix is looking for a proactive and collaborative engineer that will be able to partner with developers and operations to make a real impact on our data services.
You Will:
- Manage, debug, and scale data infrastructure for development, testing, and production environments
- Design, build, deploy Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines
- Improve performance of data infrastructure and management tools through configuration tuning, query optimization, and software optimizations
- Troubleshoot issues in a distributed multi-platform database environment
- Work as part of a multi-functional engineering team, being involved with data model designs, capacity planning, architecture, and data security

You Have:
- 3+ years of professional database management experience
- Experience with running PostgreSQL, Redshift, or any relational database in a public cloud environment
- Solid experience in data modeling, SQL query optimization, and automating operational tasks
- Experience building, monitoring, and scaling production systems in the public cloud
- Experience with managing geographically distributed, highly available, high traffic infrastructure based in the Cloud
