Director, Business Intelligence

The Role:
We are looking for a Director, Business Intelligence to lead Carrot’s growing Business Intelligence team and develop our data reporting capabilities. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Business Intelligence Analysts and Data Engineers, evaluating data vendors to add to our technology stack, working with leadership to define our strategic vision for data at Carrot, and translating that vision through process-driven execution. A successful Director of Business Intelligence will engage in stakeholder management to ensure effective cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Finance, Sales, and Business Development.
The Team: This role will manage a team of experienced Business Intelligence Analysts and Data Engineers and will report into our CFO,
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience scaling business intelligence or data analytics functions at early-stage, high-growth startups, ideally in complex or regulated dataspaces (e.g., finance, insurance, healthcare)
- Fluent in best practices for data modeling and systems architecture
- Process-driven and outcome-driven; prior experience with agile (or similar) methodologies
- Experienced in requirements gathering, and developing and implementing measurement strategies in collaboration with other teams
- Proven ability to bridge between technical and non-technical teams
- Effective and empathetic people manager committed to developing talent
- Advanced degree not required
