The Role:

Quid seeks a head of Data science to lead our core Data science team, Applied Data Science team and Data Science engineering team. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a world class data science team, working closely with Product and Engineering groups to set the R&D direction for the team. You will also be mentoring other data scientists and nurturing collaboration and learning within the organization. 

The Opportunity:

• Tackle the most impactful challenges of Quid thru innovation and research, pushing the boundaries of NLP/ML technologies
• Define the data science strategy and research investments for long term returns for Quid
• Lead the data science team and hire and mentor a highly skilled data science team
• Partner with Engineering, Product, UX and Business leaders to build highly impactful product features and IP that benefits our customers.

Your Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Data science and design/implementation of ML models
• 3+ years of leading and mentoring a team of highly skilled Data scientists 
• Passionate, creative, and collaborative leadership skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• A successful track record working from conception to delivery showing huge business impact 
• Excellent educational background (Ph.D. in machine learning, computer science, statistics, or related fields ) and strong NLP skills preferred.
