We are looking for a Lead Analyst for our Customer Insights & Analytics team who will help us communicate value by developing and executing complex analytics. The ideal candidate is mission driven, has the ability to influence cross-functional teams, and has a high degree of comfort using data to develop analytic insights.


In this role you will be called upon to wear many hats. Duties will include developing novel analytics to assess Grand Rounds’ impact, leading analyses with various evidence-based methodologies to answer critical customer questions, and shaping how Grand Rounds demonstrates savings and outcomes to customers. The position requires superb analytical ability and a strategic mindset, but also the ability to communicate effectively and manage cross-functional initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior analytic resource within the Customer Insights & Analytics team, helping to develop and deliver novel analytics to show Grand Rounds’ impact on customers using the data available to us (e.g., health care claims, eligibility, internal product data, etc.)
  • Guide and mentor junior analysts on the team in development and execution of analyses, and exhibit thought leadership both within Grand Rounds and with customers
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and QA analytics and analyses generated in support of value reporting to Grand Rounds’ customers
  • Identify and develop plans to resolve key data blockers that may limit the ability to deliver on analytic requests
  • Translate findings of complex analyses into internal and external intellectual capital and actionable recommendations
  • Partner with key groups across the organization (e.g., Data Science, Quantitative Research, Clinical, etc.) to develop meaningful, actionable, and value-add analytics
  • Develop and deliver educational material for internal team members to support new skill development, healthcare industry knowledge development, and technical/non-technical best practices in support of their work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience working with various types of data including (but not limited to) medical/Rx claims data, eligibility data, and survey data, and developing thoughtful analytic plans leveraging healthcare data
  • MPH or other relevant master’s degree a plus 
  • Proficiency in advanced analytic methodologies, preferably within healthcare (e.g., matched cohort studies, longitudinal impact analyses, risk adjustment, etc.)
  • High level of proficiency in SQL and Excel/G-sheets, and experience with at least one statistical programming language or package (e.g. Python, Stata, SAS)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to apply judgment to discern data quality 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with peers, executives, and other key stakeholders
  • Comfort with ambiguity, significant autonomy, and a fast-paced, changing environment
