About the Role

Our software team is growing and we are looking for machine learning R&D experts to join us. Machine Learning is an essential cornerstone to the work we do and you 'll be making a massive impact. Our founders have dedicated their careers to machine learning and robotics so you would be working alongside them and some of the other brightest minds from academia and industry in this field.

About the Work

• You will research and develop novel machine learning methods and algorithms that solve complex problems, including but not limited to, auto-mapping, perception (3D object detection, semantic segmentation, instance segmentation, depth estimation, optical flow, etc.), and prediction
• You will have the flexibility to publish to top-tier conferences and deploy models in our product
• You will produce robust, well-tested C++ software
• You will collaborate closely with talented team members across the software org (mapping/localization, perception, prediction, planning/control, infrastructure, hardware, product, leadership etc.)

About You

• You have deep expertise and prior experience in some or many of the following areas: robotics, perception, vision, lidar, deep and shallow machine learning techniques etc.
• You are an adept programmer and can write high quality code (C++ preferred)
• You have a passion for researching and solving near-impossible research problems and you want to see the work you do translate into a product that will impact hundreds of millions of lives
• You have an advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Machine Learning, Computer Vision or CS (or other related fields)
