Unity Gaming Services is a platform that enables developers and publishers to run live games successfully. It combines products, consulting and insights to ensure developers of all sizes benefit from Unity’s experience and expertise in enabling great playing experiences and successful games.

This role will lead the Business Intelligence team for our Multiplayer Suite of products within Unity Gaming Services. Multiplayer games are the fastest growing part of the games industry but carry significant technical challenges to enable great environments. Server hosting, match-making, voice and chat as well as community and safety are part of our portfolio. Your role will include hiring, management, growth, and retention of BI talent and project management of key initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Grow your team and develop them to achieve their potential. You will be responsible for a cross-product BI team
• Drive day to day execution and delivery of tasks, lead the team, and motivate team by explaining how their work relates to the wider business objectives
• Collaborate with your Product partner and Senior Engineering leadership to conceptualize, prioritize and develop new products for our Multiplayer business
• Be the specialist on all aspects of Multiplayer and be the bridge between Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Sales
• Aid in the product life-cycle development and strategy for emerging Multiplayer objectives

What We’re Looking For

• Experience leading a small to medium sized team
• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members, lead by example, and build strong relationships
• Strong collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills
• Skilled with SQL/BigQuery and Excel and BI Dashboarding tools (i.e. Tableau, Looker, Data Studio)

You Might Also Have

• A passion for data, analysis, and problem solving
• Familiarity with ETL practices and tools (AirFlow, Pyspark)
• Experience working with public cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, Azure, or Tencent
