The Market Insights Analyst / Senior Analyst is passionate about using market research tools to inform marketing development and to help answer key strategic questions. They are responsible for understanding and measuring how people perceive and interact with GRAIL’s products, services, brands, and the broader healthcare ecosystem under the direction of the Market Insights team.
You will:
- Design surveys using digital research platforms (such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, and/or InCrowd) to gather insights from patients/consumers and healthcare professional audiences
- Examples of research objectives include: collecting reactions to materials (e.g., marketing messages or product concepts); assessing purchase habits, attitudes and perceptions about health care; gathering feedback on product offerings and experiences in collaboration with the Customer Experience team
- Proactively collect and implement feedback on study design from internal stakeholders in both written and verbal/live settings
- Launch studies, monitor progress, and adjust study design as needed during fielding
- Analyze market research data using available tools on the research platforms as well as layering on custom analysis as needed using Excel or Google Sheets (SPSS or your other preferred analysis tools are also acceptable provided they can be exported/viewed in Google Sheets.)
- Interpret and code open-ended data, synthesizing and pulling out key themes
- Create clear, visually appealing reports of research findings in Google Slides with a level of detail tailored to the specific needs of the project/internal audienceIncorporate feedback from internal stakeholders on reports and address follow-up questions
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to form a clear, complete, and insightful picture of our potential customers
- Perform additional deep-dive analysis on past market research data and/or compare/contrast findings across studies
- Assist with ad-hoc slide creation for Market Insights team
Your background should include:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in market research (Analyst) or 5+ years of experience (Sr. Analyst)Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Proficient in using a variety of market research and survey tools to understand and measure people’s perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors. A subject matter expert in quantitative survey methods and design, feedback collection, data analysis, reporting, and visualization
- Curious and persistent about understanding stated and unstated needs, figuring out the “why” behind human behavior
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organizedStrong data-based orientation to making recommendations and supporting decision-making
- Already (or able to quickly become) a hands-on expert in digital research platform such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, InCrowd
- Familiar with or able to quickly learn Google SlidesAbility to build relationships across teams and functions internally
- Some knowledge of diagnostics, life sciences, health care, pharma, or related industries is a plus but not required
