Job Description

UserTesting is looking for a part-time researcher to help our Market Strategy team. This role will conduct user tests, analyze test videos, and research competitive issues to help shape the company’s messages and strategy.

The ideal candidate is an experienced user researcher who’s comfortable changing tasks frequently and jumping back and forth between very tactical tasks (like test recruiting) and more creative work (like test design and creating highlight reels). This is not the right position for someone who wants to hunker down and focus on a single project for weeks at a time. It is a good position if you’re a detail-oriented user research generalist, well versed in the standard tools and methodologies, who’s comfortable jumping from task to task as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience conducting remote unmoderated user research
  • Proven experience in all aspects of the process, including interview recruitment, test creation, analysis of findings, and highlight reel creation
  • Contacts in the user research community and ability to network with others to gather information and trends
  • Experience with a wide range of user research products and methodologies (such as UserTesting, Userlytics, dscout, UserZoom, etc). The more diverse your background, the better.
  • Energy and detail orientation
  • Willingness to switch between tasks as needed

This would be a great role for an experienced researcher who’s between jobs, or wants to work part time, and is looking to get exposure to business issues as opposed to pure research.
