About the People Team

About the People Data and Reporting Analyst role

This role supports the Total Rewards and People Operations teams. You will work closely with the Head of the Total Rewards and People Operations to ensure perfection of our data and communications. You will prepare reports, analyses, and provide reviews of materials that will be provided to our Executives, Board of Directors, employees, and other important stakeholders. The mission is for the People Team to communicate effectively and to ensure materials are error-free.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing materials to tell a story with our data
  • Preparation of reports for compensation, equity, benefits, and people systems to help us inform and find solutions for Varo and our leaders
  • Creation and updates of a People metrics dashboard
  • Proofreading and offering suggestions of changes to materials 
  • Creating, maintaining, and documenting processes for proper controls
  • Implement efficiencies and check for missing or erroneous information
  • Regular, ongoing audits and corrections to ensure data integrity throughout our compensation, equity, people, and benefits systems for incomplete or inaccurate data
  • Assisting on other People projects, as needed

Required skills, experiences, and traits

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role ideally working in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business)
  • Positive attitude and desire to help where we needed
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of initiative
  • Strong desire to build a collaborative, inclusive, and diverse workplace
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
