The Role

We are currently seeking a Product Analyst to join the Business Intelligence Dashboard team.  

The BI Dashboard presents executives at our client firms with consumable, visual displays of key insights about the state of their business and clients.  By analyzing data from a variety of sources, the dashboard serves up answers to questions before our clients ask, enabling them to take timely, targeted action on the most critical events affecting their clients. 

The Product Analyst will report to the Sr. Lead Product Manager and support the product, by developing a keen understanding of our clients’ needs and defining data calls and models that deliver the required analytics.  The Analyst will work on a cross functional team and partner with inter-departmental stakeholders to collaborate on solutions.  

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with product, front-end and database engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and help define user needs and priorities
  • Assess data availability and quality, and work with data engineers to ensure required data sets are extracted and transformed, if needed, for analysis 
  • Contribute to building the roadmap, writing user stories, tracking product enhancement ideas, managing the team backlog
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data to drive product decisions and plans 
  • Define metrics for tracking product usage as well as the success of both the team and the outcomes delivered to users

Who You Are

  • Up to 3 years of experience or equivalent education covering databases and SQL
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and visual) and storytelling skills
  • Experience with BI tools is strongly preferred (Looker, Tableau, Periscope, etc.)
  • Basic programming skills in javascript or python are preferred
  • Experience working with product development teams in an agile framework is a plus
  • Passion for seeking insights in data and using data to solve problems that matter
  • Readiness to learn new technologies and systems
  • Familiarity with the financial industry a plus
