About the role: 

We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to lead the design and analysis of health outcomes research studies at Ginger. This role will collaborate across the Research, Clinical, Data Science, Product and Marketing teams to design and execute analyses that evaluate the impact of on-demand mental health care. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop the methods sections of study protocols and statistical analysis
  • Conduct literature reviews to support protocol and manuscript development
  • Perform data analysis including statistical programming, creation of tables and figures, interpretation of results, and readout to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to project documentation including study protocols, informed consent forms and other study materials for IRB submission as necessary
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during the design process to meet project objectives
  • Co-author and prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; abstracts and presentations for conferences
  • Represent Ginger at industry events, panels, workshops and speaking engagements

Requirements: 

Minimum:

  • Advanced degree in public health, psychology or related field (PhD, PharmD, MPH, MSW, MHA, MPP, MS)
  • 2-3 years experience with quantitative analysis methods
  • Proficient in a statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata)
  • Superior writing, communication, project management, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Appetite for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Mission-driven personality 
  • Desire and ability to work remotely

Preferred:

  • Experience working in Python
  • Experience using GSuite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience in querying large and complex SQL databases and doing ETL across systems and databases (Plus: Redshift, Spark/Hadoop, AWS).
  • Development experience in data warehouses, business intelligence and related technologies (Plus: Looker).
  • Familiarity and experience with digital health / health and wellness industry
